Predictive search theme settings
The Predictive search theme settings let Kingdom's search drawer also match products by SKU, barcode and tag, besides title, type and vendor.

Predictive search shows results while the customer types in the search field of the sidebar. These settings choose which product details the search looks through.

Where predictive search appears
The search field is part of the Sidebar section. Turn it on with Show search in the Sidebar section.
- On desktop, the search field sits in the sidebar. Typing opens the search drawer with the results: suggested search terms, products with a small image, and collections.
- On screens 948 px wide or less, the search icon in the top bar opens the search drawer.
- The button at the top of the results opens the full search results page.
The product images in the drawer use the shape set in Theme settings → Cart → Aspect ratio.
Search by SKU, barcode and tag
By default, predictive search looks through the product title, the product type, the variant titles and the vendor. Each setting adds one more field:
- Search by SKU also matches the SKU of every variant.
- Search by barcode also matches the barcode (ISBN, UPC, GTIN) of every variant.
- Search by tag also matches the product tags.
The fields are added to the default fields; the title, type, variant title and vendor are always searched.
Why does the search drawer not find a product by its SKU?
Because Search by SKU is off. Turn it on in Theme settings → Predictive search and save. Also check that the SKU is filled in on the variant in Shopify admin, and that the product is published to the Online Store sales channel.
Do these settings change the search results page?
No. They change only the predictive results in the search drawer. The full search results page uses Shopify's standard store search, which you cannot change from the theme. See Search page.

Search by SKU (checkbox, default: off): Adds the variant SKU to the fields that the search drawer looks through. The search results page is not affected.
Search by barcode (checkbox, default: off): Adds the variant barcode (ISBN, UPC, GTIN) to the fields that the search drawer looks through. The search results page is not affected.
Search by tag (checkbox, default: off): Adds the product tags to the fields that the search drawer looks through. The search results page is not affected.
