Cookies section
The Cookies section shows Kingdom's cookie banner with Accept and Decline buttons that set the customer's tracking consent in Shopify.

The Cookies section shows a cookie banner with two buttons, Accept all cookies and Decline all cookies. The customer's choice is passed to Shopify as their tracking consent for analytics, marketing and preferences.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Cookies, in the theme editor sidebar after the Footer group.
Setting up the cookie banner
Set your privacy settings in Shopify
In Shopify admin, open Settings → Customer privacy and choose how customer data is collected before consent. If you use Kingdom's banner, turn off Shopify's own cookie banner there, so customers do not see two.
Turn on the banner
In the theme editor, select Cookies and turn on Show cookies notice. Save.
Test it in a private window
Open your store in a private browser window. The banner appears after a second. Select a button: the banner closes and does not come back in that browser.
What the buttons do:
- Accept all cookies gives consent for analytics, marketing and preferences through Shopify's Customer Privacy API.
- Decline all cookies refuses all three.
- Either answer is remembered in the customer's browser, so the banner shows only once per browser.
Kingdom shows the banner to every customer who has not answered yet, in every country. It does not check your Shopify customer privacy region settings. If the banner should appear only in some regions, use Shopify's own cookie banner instead and keep Show cookies notice off.
Changing the banner text
The title "Cookies", the message and the button labels are theme texts, not section settings. Change them in Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → … → Edit default theme content: search for "cookies" to find the texts.
Why do I see two cookie banners?
Because Shopify's own cookie banner, or a cookie app, is on as well as Kingdom's. Keep only one: turn off Show cookies notice in the Cookies section, or turn off Shopify's banner in Shopify admin → Settings → Customer privacy. See Cookie banner apps for GDPR compliance.
Does the banner block tracking until the customer accepts?
Not by itself. Kingdom passes the customer's answer to Shopify, and Shopify then applies it. What happens before the customer answers depends on your Shopify customer privacy settings, which are controlled by Shopify, not by Kingdom. See Cookie consent popup.
Why does the banner not show for me anymore?
Because you already selected Accept or Decline in this browser, also in the theme editor preview. Kingdom remembers the answer for good. Open the store in a private window or clear the site data in your browser to see the banner again.

The cookies popover will only be visible if it customer data is set to be collected after consent.
