Empty space block
The Empty space block of Borders adds vertical space between other theme blocks; it has no settings.
Applies to: Borders 3.1.0 and later. Added in: Borders 3.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Borders 3.1.0.
The Empty space block adds a gap between two blocks in a column or a card, for example to push a button away from the text above it.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → a Flex columns column, or a Flex grid Text card or Media card → Add block → Empty space
Settings
- The block has no settings.
- It adds one extra step of the spacing that the column or card already uses between its blocks. Add two Empty space blocks for a larger gap.
- It shows nothing else; customers do not see it.
How do I make the space bigger or smaller?
Add more Empty space blocks for more space. For a Flex grid card, you can also change Text spacing in the card's Typography settings, which sets the space between all its blocks.
