Overlay group
The Overlay group in Seventh holds the Popovers and Modals sections: popups for newsletters, promotions, cookie consent, age verification and exit intent.

The Overlay group holds the two sections that show content on top of the page: Popovers and Modals. Both are part of the theme layout, so their blocks can appear on any page of the store.
Where to find it: in the theme editor sidebar, open the Overlay group and select Popovers or Modals.
- Popovers section: a small card that slides in at the bottom corner of the screen, while the customer keeps using the page. Use it for a newsletter sign-up, a featured product or collection, or the cookie consent banner.
- Modals section: a centered window over a dark background that stops the customer until they close it. Use it for an important promotion, an age check or an offer when the customer is about to leave.
In the theme editor, popovers and modals do not open by themselves: select a block in the sidebar to open it in the preview. Their delay, scroll trigger and frequency apply only on the storefront.
