Empty space block
The Empty space block adds a small, medium or large vertical gap between blocks in Highlight's Flex sections.
Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 4.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.
The Empty space block adds a vertical gap between two blocks of a card, for example to push a button away from the text above it.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → select a Card (Flex cards section) or a Text card (Flex grid section) → Add block → Empty space.
Height
Height sets the size of the gap:
- Small (the default) adds no height of its own: the gap is the card's normal space between blocks, set by the section's Text spacing.
- Medium adds 20 px.
- Large adds 40 px.
How do I add more space than Large?
Add two Empty space blocks one after the other, or raise Text spacing in the Flex cards or Flex grid section, which adds space between all blocks of every card.
