Caption block
The Caption block adds a short line of text in five sizes, with its own text and background color, in Highlight's Flex sections.
Applies to: Highlight 4.1.0 and later. Added in: Highlight 4.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Highlight 4.1.0.
The Caption block adds a short line of text, such as "New in" or "Limited edition", in one of five sizes, with its own text color and an optional colored background that turns it into a label.
Where to find it: Online Store → Themes → Customize → select a Card (Flex cards section), a Text card (Flex grid section) or a Content group → Add block → Caption.
Text
- Content is the text. It supports bold, italic and links. The block shows nothing while it is empty.
- Text size sets the size: Extra small, Small, Regular (the default), Large or Extra large.
Custom colors
Both colors are transparent by default, which means the caption uses the card's text color and no background.
- Text color colors the caption text.
- Background color puts the caption on a colored label, with a little space around the text.
When should I use a Caption instead of a Heading or Text?
Use a Caption for a short line above or below a heading, such as a category name or a promotion tag. Use the Heading block for titles and the Text block for paragraphs.
