Bites preset
The Bites preset of Combine: its theme style, fonts and colors, and the Theme settings it changes compared with the defaults.
Applies to: Combine 4.2.0 and later. Added in: Combine 1.0.0. Last checked: 2026-10-13 against Combine 4.2.0.
The Bites preset gives Combine a dark header and footer with gold text, a cream page background and the Fraunces serif font for headings. Like every preset, it installs the same sections, blocks and templates as the others.
Where to find it: Theme settings → Theme style → Bites
Fonts and colors
- Headings use Fraunces at a Base size of 64 px. Section titles also use Fraunces, at 20 px. Body uses DM Sans, the default.
- The header and the footer are near-black (
#161514) with gold text (#d2c692). The page is cream (#efede6) with near-black text (#161514), which also colors the buttons.
Theme settings it changes
The Bites theme style changes these Theme settings from the setting defaults in Combine 4.2.0. Every other setting keeps its default.

Bites keeps the square (1:1) product images of the defaults. With the quick buy popup off, products added from product grids open the cart drawer.
How do I switch to the Bites preset?
Choose the Bites theme style in Theme settings → Theme style. This replaces your current Theme settings with the Bites values, so duplicate your theme first. The steps are in Combine presets.
You do not need to install the Bites preset from the Shopify Theme Store: every preset installs the same theme files.
Does the Bites preset include the demo store content?
No. The preset sets fonts, colors and Theme settings only. The products, images and pages of its demo store on the Shopify Theme Store are not added to your store. See Rebuild a Combine demo store.
