Connect Mailchimp

Krown themes save newsletter sign-ups as Shopify customers. Connect Mailchimp with its Shopify app to send those contacts to your Mailchimp audience.

Applies to: All Krown themes. Last checked: 2026-10-13.

The newsletter forms in Krown themes work with Shopify's own customer list, with no setup. If you send your emails with Mailchimp, its Shopify app passes those contacts on to your Mailchimp audience.

Where to find it: Shopify admin → Customers for the sign-ups; Shopify admin → Apps → Mailchimp for the sync, once the app is installed

Where newsletter sign-ups go

Every newsletter form in a Krown theme saves the email address as a customer in Shopify admin → Customers. This covers the newsletter section, the footer and the newsletter popover. The customer is tagged newsletter and subscribed to email marketing. You can email them with Shopify Email, or with any email app connected to Shopify.

Connect Mailchimp

Install the Mailchimp app

Install Mailchimp Email SMS Marketing from the Shopify App Store.

Connect your Mailchimp account

Open the app and log in to your Mailchimp account, or create one.

Choose the audience and sync

Choose the Mailchimp audience for your Shopify customers and start the sync. New sign-ups from the theme's forms then reach Mailchimp through Shopify.

The Mailchimp app is made and supported by Mailchimp. For sync problems, contact Mailchimp support.

Do I need Mailchimp to collect email addresses?

No. The theme's forms already collect them as Shopify customers subscribed to email marketing. Mailchimp is only needed if you want to send your emails from Mailchimp.
