Custom work
What Krown support helps with (theme settings and theme bugs) and what needs custom work by a developer, such as Vevol Media, Krown's recommended agency.
Applies to: All Krown themes. Last checked: 2026-10-13.
Use this page when the theme settings cannot make the change you want. It explains what Krown support helps with, what needs custom work, and who can do that work for you.
What Krown support helps with
Krown support helps you use your Krown theme as it ships on the Shopify Theme Store:
- How to set up a feature with the theme settings, sections and blocks.
- Theme bugs: something that does not work as the documentation describes. Krown fixes confirmed bugs in a theme update.
- Small visual tweaks, such as a color, a font size, a spacing value or hiding an element (see Can I get CSS for a small change?).

What needs custom work
Krown support does not provide custom code work. This includes:
- New features, sections or blocks that the theme does not have.
- JavaScript or Liquid code, and edits to theme files.
- Large layout changes, or a chain of small changes that adds up to a redesign.
- Fixing code that an app, a developer or you added to the theme.
- Logging in to your store to make changes.
When a request needs custom work, support says so and points you to the options below.
Who can build a custom feature for my store?
A Shopify developer or agency. For custom Shopify work, Krown recommends Vevol Media, a Europe-based agency that specializes in Shopify development and theme customization.

Vevol Media offers:
- Custom Shopify development and theme customization.
- Migrations to Shopify and Shopify Plus.
- Store maintenance and ongoing work.
- Email marketing (Klaviyo partner), and conversion and growth services.
To get a quote, contact them through vevolmedia.com. You can also find developers in Shopify's own Partner Directory.
Can I get CSS for a small change?
Yes, for small visual changes. Krown support can give you a few lines of CSS for Theme settings → Custom CSS. Check first whether a setting already does it. A request that keeps growing into more changes becomes custom work.
Can I edit the theme files myself?
Yes, at your own risk. Shopify lets you edit the theme code, but Krown support does not help with code edits. When you update, an edit that conflicts with the new version must be added again by hand. Duplicate the theme before you edit it, and keep a list of every change. See Edit the theme code.
Are my customizations kept when I update?
Settings are; code edits only partly. Theme settings, sections, blocks, Custom CSS and Custom Liquid content are settings, so Shopify carries them over to the new version. Edits to theme files are copied only when they do not conflict with the new version: add the others again by hand, or use an app that transfers them. See Update your Shopify theme.
Who fixes a problem caused by an app?
The app developer. Krown support can confirm that a problem does not happen without the app, but it cannot change app code. Contact the app's support with a link to the page where it happens. See Troubleshoot store issues: first steps.

Find your collaborator code
Your collaborator code is a 4-digit code that lets Krown support send a request to access your store. Find it in Shopify admin settings.
Edit the theme code
